Theo Walcott
OK, this is going to be a 'niche market'. Just Gooners I think! I was messing about with some of the features on Photoshop and decide to use an image of Arsenal and England's Theo Walcott to experiment with. Strange choice I know but I am an Arsenal fan and Theo has had a fantastic start to the 2008/09 season (there, I have probably jinxed him now).
To create the effects here I took the image of Theo down to a very basic level by switching to greyscale and then using the 'Stamp' tool in Photoshop to reduce the image to just black and white blocks of colour. I had to keep adjusting and then re-applying the effect until Walcott almost looks like he is running through white clouds. I then added the text underneath (disclaimer: This is not Theo Walcott's real signature!), the number '14' as Theo wears this season and the Arsenal badge.

I think the gold outline finishes it off well and the image could almost be used as a fan birthday card. I know that anyone other than Arsenal fans might think this work is a bit sad, but I like the final result and it only took me an hour or so.
